YNGWIE MALMSTEEN: More U.S. Tour Dates Announced
October 18, 2005Taking some time off after his last album "Attack!!", legendary Swedish guitarist YNGWIE MALMSTEEN emerged this year with not one but two new releases and has now added a national tour to his list of things to do for 2005. Revealing dates for a national routing that will take him from Jacksonville to San Francisco in as little as two months, Yngwie plans to stay on the road through 2006 in support of his two new projects, "Unleash the Fury" and "Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra" DVD.
"Unleash the Fury", which hit stores July 26 through Spitfire Records, has been receiving rave reviews from critics and fans alike and has even been hailed as one of his best works to date. Also being released this year is Yngwie's long-awaited "Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra" DVD, which was filmed in 2001 with the New Japan Philharmonic, conducted by Taizo Takemoto. Initially only released overseas, North American fans are eagerly awaiting its arrival here on November 1. Malmsteen has performed his concerto suite live with an orchestra just seven times. An interview with Malmsteen is included as a special bonus feature.
Channeling the energy from both of these projects, Malmsteen says that this tour will be like nothing anyone has ever witnessed before. And, if his stage show is as intricate and exciting as his latest releases, then fans are definitely in for a big surprise!
